Succession, HBO's critically acclaimed drama, offers a unique and compelling lens through which to explore the intricate dynamics of corporate governance. At its core, the show is a masterful depiction of power struggles and strategic maneuvering within a family-owned media empire, making it an invaluable case study for anyone interested in understanding the complexities of corporate leadership and decision-making.

I created a podcast series to breakdown the show from a corporate governance perspective with Kate O’Leary, Global Executive Litigation Counsel at GE.1

We recorded one episode for each season of the show. For the last two episodes, we invited additional guest speakers: for the third episode we were joined by Sean Berkowitz, the Global Chair of the Complex Commercial Litigation Practice at Latham & Watkins. For the fourth and final episode, we were joined by Joe Nocera, a distinguished business journalist and author.
